Summary: An ordinary individual may be lost inside a laboratory if he/she would not have the basic know-how on using the equipments and devices discovered inside it. Being aware on the completely different functions and uses of these equipment or devices is a necessity for any laboratory scientist or personnel for the safe conduct of their every day task.

Usually, a laboratory is a myriad of people who busied themselves with complicated laboratory tasks. Most of these gadgets are related to computer terminals primarily utilized to store scientific data, or a scientist's conduct of experiment detailing collected data and work progress. Data monitoring and processing are completed by this computer and results are then uploaded for storage and additional analysis.

Knowledge of all laboratory equipment and instrument is an essential must to minimize or prevent the chance of harm or death. Scientists and laboratory personnel practice continuously as they are exposed to various occupational hazards like explosions, infections, poisons, even exposure to radio-active substances.

Depending on what kind of application it's designed for, a laboratory is more than likely equipped with the appropriate measuring equipments and laboratory instruments. Microscopes, spectrometers, calorimeters, flasks, test tubes and Bunsen burners are categorized as laboratory instruments whereas measuring equipments are usually utilized in research and experiments to gather analytical data and measurements.
