London has a number of suburbs. One of the most popular is Wimbledon. It offers a number of rentals or houses for sale to those looking to move southwest of London. Wimbledon is filled with a regal history, yet has become a metropolitan environment filled with modern ideas that makes it perfect for different age groups.

In the last 100 years, Kingston has built a reputation for its quality manufacturing industry which builds aircraft used in the military. One of the most famous that was produced in this area was the Harrier Jump Jet. In recent times, the location has drawn wonderful shopping opportunities and pubs that are well stocked with great ale.

The local inhabitants are quite varied in background and consist of both fast paced city lovers and slow and calm country lovers. It is most common to see a younger population around the area due to the new development of Wimbledon University.

Wimbledon offers both a relaxing atmosphere for those looking to live more slowly as well as outlets for activity to those who wish to keep energy high. The mixed social scene gives people who live in the area a wide range of opportunities that will please everyone's fancy.

Individuals who follow sports have many options in this borough. The Rugby Club and AFC Wimbledon are two of the newest additions in the suburb along with other amateur clubs that people can find activities to partake in.

Wimbledon's location may worry some people because they feel that it is not close enough to London's centre. This should not be a concern since the suburb offers great transportation that connects it to the big city. London is simply minutes away from any of the railway stations situated in Wimbledon.

To unwind in the evening, people living in Wimbledon have numerous entertainment opportunities. There are theatres that offer fine shows, restaurants that serve tasty meals, and a variety of art exhibitions. Free time can be used to enjoy the natural beauty that remains from the royal legacy. Richmond Park and Bushy Park are two of the most popular locations that are quite close. A bit further away is Hampton Court and Kew Gardens.

People who enjoy a day of shopping will find Wimbledon to be filled with different shopping centres where an individual can peruse all of the popular High Street retail chains. For people who enjoy smaller and more eclectic outlets, Griffin Passage and Ram Passage in Kingston offer a shopper the opportunity to discover unique and one of a kind items.

For people who love to purchase fresh produce instead of conventional supermarket products, the Original Triangular Medieval Market will be the place to go. Here is a traditional marketplace that sells locally grown vegetables and fruit as well as fresh fish from around the region.

Wimbledon includes numerous properties that are both for sale or rent. All types of architecture fill the land from classic Victorian and Edwardian dwellings to developments along the river. There are also brand new flats filled with luxury features as well.
