What Is A Freedom Business, And How Do I Start One?

By Eric Henderson

Have you been thinking about ways to start a freedom business? In other words, a lifestyle business - one that gives you the income you need to do what you love to do?

When done correctly, there is nothing better than learning how to build and own a business that doesn't own you. This is a lifestyle business at its best.

It's been called a "Lifestyle Business", "Freedom Business", "Passive Income Lifestyle", Being a Founder, and Lifestyle Design, but they all mean the same thing: a business that you start because you want freedom and enjoyment in your life.

One thing that many of my clients and colleagues have in common is that they are avid travelers, and there is no better way to accomplish this than to start a freedom business.

Now it took me years to understand that this was what I was supposed to be doing, but my personality is completely centered around personal freedom and lifestyle. I was just absolutely destined for it.

You may be thinking about how to start a freedom business because you want to re-organize your business and life so you have more freedom, but also more income.

So what is a Freedom Business - A Lifestyle Business, defined as? 'Lifestyle Business' is defined as "a small business in which the owner is more anxious to pursue interests that reflect his or her lifestyle than to make more than a comfortable living."

That definition is from dictionary.com - and now that you've seen that and are starting to understand what a freedom business is all about, I want to show you the 5 main things a lifestyle business has to have in order for you to become free in your life.

Do the work once, get paid on it forever. What you earn for your work shouldn't be attached to how many hours you put in.

It should give you the ability to earn more than $10,000 a month.

It can be started with $500 or less and in your spare time.

You can work any time you want, anywhere you want.

This is sort of a bonus - and that is that your business actually helps people.

Personally, I love the Empower Network as a lifestyle business. It meets all my personal criteria.

So if you want to start a freedom business, take these steps to find the one that's right for you:

Decide and then define what the outcome is.

1. Plan out your ideal life and how it's going to look.

2. Figure out what it's going to take to get there.

3. Pick your path and take consistent action toward it.

4. Find a system that is already proven to be successful, and shortcut your work.

5. Get a coach, mentor, or a model that you can use - or better yet, combine all three.
