The excitement of another heated tennis match is now over, putting Wimbledon in the spotlight once again. When the tournament is on in the summer time thousands of people visit this intimate village for the opportunity to see the World's best tennis players take on one of the most famous grand slam competitions.

The village and surrounding areas get crowded during the tournament. Because the tennis event is so widely advertised, many people seek out the area for at this time of year - renting their property out during this time, and making a substantial profit.

Buying a property close to the tournament grounds can be a very good investment as you can make an excellent profit renting it out. As well as the tennis players themselves there are many ardent fans who come to watch every day. With hundreds of matches being played on 19 grass courts there are many people involved in the competition who will be looking for accommodation.

Many places for eating and entertaining are open until late and parking can get tricky due to the amount of activity in Wimbledon. Within bustling areas with restaurants, and other venues, there is a lot going on.

Over the years Wimbledon has become quite versatile in its style of homes. Modern luxury apartments are certainly available but the splendid Edwardian terraces and picturesque Victorian homes are also all over the area. The transport links are very convenient.

Getting into the capital is very easy from Wimbledon. You can have a day of sightseeing and return very easily within 20 minutes or so - getting the benefits of the city as without having to live right in the middle of one.

Wimbledon is in the spotlight when the tennis is on but the lovely scenery away from the tennis court is rarely televised. The neat streets and the lovely gardens are missed by television cameras; and so is the lifestyle of Wimbledon.

Wimbledon Common is a wonderful place frequented by those who like an outdoor life. It is popular with sporty types who want to cycle, run, hike and walk. It covers over 1000 acres and is one of London's biggest green spaces, including forested areas as well as open space.

Wimbledon Common has many residential properties bordering. This is a lovely area for families to live. It also boasts the famous windmill on the common as well as cafes, sports equipment and children's play areas.

The transport to Wimbledon is excellent. There are tubes, trams and buses serving the area with quick links to Waterloo, Clapham Junction and the City. You can get across the city very quickly and easily.
