Games That You Can Enjoy With NERF Guns

By Sophia Gerritsen

If you are trying to find a toy gun that is hours of fun, you should think about a NERF gun. These plastic toy guns use blasts of air to propel foam darts with the air. You can get NERF guns that simulate the appearance of rifles, semi-automatic pistols and revolvers. NERF guns have a tendency to be big and vibrant, however light-weight. They are appropriate for children over the age of 7.

NERF guns are not considered a hazardous toy, as the mass and velocity of the dart are too low to cause injury to any component of the body other than for perhaps the eyes. For that reason, it is a good idea to avoid shooting at someone's head in order to avoid striking the eyes. Using safety eyewear might be wise. Due to minimum effect of the NERF dart, they are usually safe to make use of inside.

Now I'll get into a few of the games that can be played with NERF guns at your own risk. Every game trains various skills and should be lots of fun.

Target practice-- One of my favorites is to take an empty tissue box and put it on its side with the opening towards you. Now attempt and shoot as many darts as you possibly can into the box from a distance of a minimum of 6 feet / 1.8 m. To prevent the box from moving when you shoot into it, put it with it's back against a wall or some other solid flat item. To avoid darts from bouncing from the box, pad the rear wall with some soft material. When you get truly excellent, move further away.

The old-fashioned gentlemen's duel is an enjoyable NERF game for 2. You have most likely seen this in a motion picture. The participants stand close to each other with their backs turned towards each other. As the game leader counts out loud to 4, each participant takes 4 steps and then turns around pointing their gun at the ground. On the count of three, the participants try to shoot each other. The individual who first strikes the other person wins the game.

Flag hunt is among my favorite games. Four individuals is the minimum. Split up into 2 teams. Each group gets a flag and needs to hide it someplace in the battle area. The groups likewise choose a recovery area. The objective of the game is find the other group's flag. The teams shoot at each other to defend and attack. A player who's been hit by a dart, has to raise his/her hands and go back to the recovery area prior to he / she can join the game again.

I hope you have a good time playing these games, beware to prevent shooting each other in the face and use security precautions as you please.
